Middle School Profile

We at English International School provide excellent learning experiences, enriching activities, challenging sports programs and lasting friendships. The middle school programs offered in grade 6 through 8 are in alignment with the mission of the school and address the needs of our internationally diverse young adolescents. Our students are well prepared to transition into international schools all over the world.

We strive to provide an academically challenging environment in order to foster intellectual curiosity and a sense of responsibility in our students. We offer a curriculum with an international perspective. Our integrated core courses break down the barriers of content allowing more time and flexibility, deeper learning and closer connections with fewer teachers.

To fully educate the whole person, we are committed to cultivating lifelong learners and balanced, service-oriented citizens, who are thereby prepared to positively contribute in a globally competitive world. Our programs help students to grow and develop in many different areas. Students enjoy our physical education, arts and information technology all within the daily curriculum. We also offer the opportunity for students to participate in soccer sports teams, often competing at other international schools in Kinshasa. There are annual art shows, school day celebrations and a variety of after school activities.

The middle school years are a time of transition and change as students grow physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively. We work as a community of faculty, staff and in partnership with parents to ensure that there is a supportive environment for this development.
